Then it was Monday. Melodrama was lifted out of the water, and Mads and Rikke Christiansen arrived from Holbæk to inspect the hull and keel.
After a few questions, and a good look at the keel bolts and the sails, we shook hands on the deal, the funds were transferred, insurance sorted and the new owners moved on board.
We are both delighted that the sale was so easy, still amazed they found us on Facebook. We were all very happy with the price agreed, and they are thrilled with the boat, which will now live in northern Denmark.
And yes, there were tears shed too, but the graffiti we found in the local town of Sønderborg on our last night in Denmark sums it up perfectly.
Thanks to all our loyal followers over the years. Without an audience, there would be no blog. And thanks for all your comments to add to the dialogue.
Fair winds and good sailing to all, whatever that may mean to each of you.
