The fifth day is free in Sønderborg Marina. We didn’t expect to be here this long, but we get a free ticket today. The problem now is to get off the boat to go to the harbour office to claim it, as all the water has returned, and more!
I asked the harbour master where did all the water go – Finland, he said, but it comes back!
He told me that he has never seen a fall and rise like this in the summer months. Interesting. Climate change in action, we agreed.
It’s also to have a rebound effect where it will fall again and rise again before it settles.
We’ve decided to wait until after this, before trusting our chart depths to move on. Still, we’ve had time to visit our favourite café for lunch in the back garden.
Sounds like an easy decision, free berth and a chance to eat food like that. Hope the water settles soon so you can enjoy some sailing again.
Looking forward to your first blog from Lady M!
Ooh that looks tasty!
Next best thing to Mr Gerrard’s Midnight Temptation!
