We had an unmissable appointment in Portugal, so Melodrama was left tied up in Karlskrona and we set off by train to Trelleborg, for a ferry to Rostock in Germany, then a train the next day back to Greifswald where we had left our car. From there we traveled to Hook of Holland for the overnight ferry to Harwich, where we split up, Karen heading to Scotland to accompany Bill and Mavis to Lisbon, William to the Liverpool Ferry and home to Fahan to leave the car for the summer.
One week later we were all together in Quinta de Sant’Ana for Patrick and Rachel’s lovely wedding. It was a wonderful day, fun and laughter, great company, superb food, wine and an evening dancing in a beautiful vineyard setting. We even had rain – very lucky in Portugal for a wedding!
