Monday evening, and after the foggy day, we looked out on the Oresund Bridge that links Sweden and Denmark. For followers of ‘The Bridge’ it is the bridge. Swedish autistic cop, Saga Norén has solved many a murder around there.
Tuesday, and another foggy day took us to Ystad, the murder capital of Sweden, where detective Kurt Wallander solves the crime there. Thankfully, we explored the historic streets without encountering any crime. Or committing it. It’s a lovely town, very picturesque, and an obvious choice for a TV crime drama. No sign of Kenneth Branagh when we were there.
We found a super little chandlery, full of old ships bells, lanterns, wheels and other antiques, plus a good selection of bits for a modern yacht. We could browse for hours!
So carry on exploring Sweden! and its waters. Lots to discover, even if some of it is familiar already!
