This pretty town was a delight. The marina had great facilities, including working wi-fi – quite a treat!
But the real attraction was the beautifully preserved house and gardens of the Danish artists Johannes and Ahled Larsen. It was charming, and stuffed full of their own paintings and gifts from their visiting artist friends. Everything was left exactly as it was when they lived there in the early 20th century, right down to the garden geese.
While we both admired the paintings on the walls, William was especially thrilled with the central heating plumbing 🙂 so a great day out for all.
The little cafe had a lovely terrace overlooking the bay, and served delicious almond and apple cake with a thermos flask of strong coffee. A lovely end to our afternoon ashore.
Wonderful! Keep having fun
Wet and windy days have great benefits for blog readers too! Thanks for the little glimpses of Danish treasures xx
Sounds like you found a gem there; inspirational.
