Saturday evening, 21st April 2018, and we were packed up, trailer loaded, and off to catch the overnight ferry to Liverpool.
It was a beautiful evening in Fahan, and we felt a little strange to be leaving Donegal for the entire summer.
The trailer and car were so stuffed, it was almost impossible to squeeze inside. This had been our first challenge, but will it all fit on board without sinking the ship?
William, the ex-student-lorry driver, was so concerned about the weight we were trailing, that we stopped in Toome at the free weighbridge to check our load – 2510 KG, and right on the limits.
So we were off, on our way to Greifswald to pick up our new boat!
That was some load! Glad you made it!
