We set off in flat calm on Monday to cross to Bornholm Island, and made Norrekas Marina in Ronne our port of call.
On the way, we left Germany and entered Denmark, so we changed our courtesy flag.
In the middle of the sea is Wikinder Windfarm, still under construction. We counted 70 windmills, and about 70 more being built. Quite a sight! But we should not have been so close, apparently. Despite setting a course outside the windpark, and obeying all the cardinal marks telling us where we should go, we were contacted on VHF Radio and asked to steer one mile further away from the windpark, for our own safety – and there wasn’t even any wind.
We arrived late afternoon in Norrekas, and were delighted to find that there were pontoon berths for easy mooring – luxury!
