Meltdown!

We found a local Kip business that looks after the boats in the marina when owners are not there. So we asked their man Mark to drop down and check that the boat was still in the good shape that we’d left it in.

He reported that the interior smelt dank, and mould was starting to form!!!!! He also thought the teak could do with being renovated.

I burst into tears, and threw a wobbly. It was only a week since we’d left it there, impeccably clean and fresh, and the teak all oiled and better looking than it had for the previous three years.  How could so much have deteriorated in a week, even a rainy autumn week in Scotland??

Suffice to say, Mark bought us a dehumidifier, restored the teak and cleaned the headlining. He said he’d keep an eye on it every couple of days and check just before any viewings. The first of these was today. By the afternoon, the boat was under offer.
