Our last ever cruise on Drama Queen was a complete contrast to the June trip. Fair winds, sun, and some great sailing all the way to Kip to deliver the boat for sale.
We passed by Largs on regatta day and watched the fleet beating down the channel, then swung across to watch the skiff racing – supporting the winners, Ferry Maid, crewed by our ski buddies Ralph and Liz from Broughtyferry. Hurrah!
But to complete the mood for departure, the rain returned and we spent a difficult day offloading everything into the car (taken across last week) for our sad drive to Cairnryan, leaving our lovely boat behind for the last time.
