Tuesday morning, and Anders is back from Japan. He had a look at the mast crane and said they would have another go at 1pm.
So we settled down to a leisurely breakfast, and had reached the toast and marmalade course, when a mast was spied dangling over the hole in the cabin top. Anders was shouting orders in his inimitable style, and Brendan and I jumped to, grabbing the breakfast components away from the mast, and leaping out of the way.
William meanwhile continued with the important business of his next slice of toast and bellowing even louder than Anders ‘where’s the butter!’
Here he is, relaxed and unfazed by the activity around him, happily enjoying his own special home made marmalade. .
And the mast is up!
What a lovely day you seem to have had, and what a triumph to have sold Melodrama to a good home of enthusiasts, who will love it as you have loved it. We have had an overcast, though pleasant day in Ulster, with a stiff breeze to keep the temperature down. Friends in London were complaining of extreme heat, with no breeze to temper it. Now that your voyaging days are so nearly over, what on earth or sea will you do next and following summers?
Have a super super time.
We have so many fond memories with you both and the beautiful Melodrama in Sweden last year. Absolutely brilliant .
Love the updates. Keep them coming xx
